The GALA division – production of leather and textile goods – has been part of the DUP cooperative since 1945. Production has been concentrated in Pelhřimov, but in the period from the 1960s to the 1990s, many employees also worked in establishments outside of Pelhřimov.

For the production of GALA, a production area was gradually bulit, in which there are sewing workshops equipped with sewing and other machines, a material preparation worskhop for cutting and punching material and for leather treatment, a high-frequency welding workshop, material warehauses and shipping department.

The traditional production of the GALA division, which includes cases for manicure and pedicure tools, was gradually expanded to include the production of business, cosmetic and special suitcases, organizers and file folders, cases and packaging for tools and other items of leather and textile haberdashery.

After 1990, the GALA division also began to produce various sewn, padded and assembled parts for the medical and rehabilitation industry and for the automotive, aviation and furniture industries.
